Baseball

She LOVES all sports and insisted we play baseball in the house. We used her gingerbread man puppet as a bat since our real bat is not for indoor use.

She made me get out a winter glove because she said she needed a glove to play baseball. I have no idea where she learned that since we don't watch sports, but she knew it!

Early September

After Labor Day weekend, we went back to our normal routine: Tumbling, Story Time, Zoo, Children's Museum, playing at home, and parks/playgrounds.

First we went to the zoo, after we got Jill's 2nd full haircut. It went better than the first one, but she still hates those scissors, the smock, and the spray bottle. Maybe the 3rd time will be the charm? Anyway, we had a great (although short) trip to the zoo!

the sloth bear was really alert today

Jill checked him out for a while

she loved watching the penguins too

in the boat

"Donkeys Mama, like Hee-Hore!"

Steve and Henny were given an iPad from one of Henny's grantors, but Jill thinks it's HERS! She loves all of the apps we've downloaded for her, and you'll see her using her skills in the video below. You'll also see why it is that we do not have a cat as Henny...reacts to one outside.

On the 11th, we participated in our 4th annual family PawsWalk charity event. We walked the first year before we had Jill, we attempted to walk the 2nd year, but didn't get far with our fussy new baby, we bypassed the walk last year in favor of the park, and we did the same this year. Here is Jill playing at Magnuson Park, and just for fun, here are pics from all 4 years that we've done PawsWalk. Henny raised over $1300 this year!

this beach ball that she found was her favorite thing

digging was also a big hit

On Monday we went back to Story Time for the first time in 5 weeks (there was a break between sessions), and Jill was ecstatic. She has moved up to the 2 year old session, and she got to make a hat!

sitting front and center, thrilled to be back

holding her jingle bells

wearing the "highway hat" we made with a bus, truck, and cars

Today we went to the Children's Museum with Isabelle, Aunt Elisha, and Grammi!

Finally, enjoy Jill's new dinosaur jammies, and her singing for you!

she was diapering her baby...poor baby doesn't look too comfortable!
