The End of November

It's been another great month. Here are a few more photos and videos of Jill and her life since our last post earlier this month.

First we went to Kids.Quest one day. It was a lot of fun, but it was pretty small and crowded. I think we both like our museum better.

We did quite a bit of playing at home too.

Jill loves maps, and enjoys learning on hers at mealtimes.

Finally, the best one! Jill discovered this Paul McCartney magnet on the fridge and has decided that she loves him, and that they are friends. I had nothing to do with this! She plays with him in her dollhouse, takes him places, and loves him. It's adorable. She has a Starbucks card in her wallet with his picture on it, and requests to listen to his music periodically. If it's a Beatles disc, she turns to me when someone else is singing and says, "Dis not Paul McCartney!"

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a great day yesterday. We ate lots, spent time with family, and were entertained with a live show as well, courtesy of Jill and Isabelle.

these phones were fun...you can really hear the person on the other one

"Pop, is dat you, Pop?"

An unprecedented show, live from the "stage" at Dee and Pop's house! This went on for almost 20 minutes, by the way!

And, here is Jill's thankful list at lunchtime on the day before Thanksgiving.

Jill's Little Friend

This is G., Jill's friend. They were born 6 days apart (Jill is younger). They go to Story Time and Tumbling together, and we always do our Tra.der J.oe's grocery shopping together on Wednesdays after tumbling, and occasionally go for donut dates at the local donut shop. Thanks to G. and her mom, Jill and I have discovered the magic that is the lollipop awarded to the children at Tra.der J.oe's who can find the stuffed monkey hiding in the store. I didn't need a reason to love that place more, but they gave me one! Toddler + sucker = shopping in peace, with the added bonus of me getting to shop with a friend myself! I even went there for the free sucker last week and didn't buy anything. We headed straight to Target where she ate while I shopped! But I digress...anyhow Jill loves her friend!

Christmas Cards

Around here, Jill and I are pretty in love with cards. We especially love Christmas cards because it's fun to get updates and pictures in the mail. We also LOVE Shutterfly. We use them to create calendars each year, greeting cards, birthday invitations, and photo books. So, when I heard that Shutterfly was giving away 50 free Christmas cards to bloggers, I got way too excited! Sign up here, if you're interested. Without further ado, here are my favorites for 2010 Christmas Cards in no particular order, but you'll have to wait and see what we end up picking...when I get a decent photo to use.

One

Two

Three

Check out the rest of the cards here. While you're at it, take a look at the photo books and calendars. No really, do it. Shutterfly is amazing. They have great deals on photo greeting cards all the time, but especially around Mother's Day and Father's Day. I always get three free cards on each of those holidays, and they are always very loved. So go now, try Shutterfly, and thank me later. Also, thanks to Shutterfly for the cards we're going to get. Really, I can't wait!

Enjoying Fall

We have been having a great fall season with lots of trips to our regular places. Jill is just such a joy at this age, I can't believe people call it, "The Terrible Twos." I know, I know, three is worse. But really, I don't see how it could get better than this! Aside from being sick pretty frequently lately, she's having the time of her life!

after kicking a goal she likes to get tangled in the net

first carousel ride (she loved it after it started but was initially unsure)

visiting Great Grandma who has a "boo boo" on her foot (she had foot surgery recently)

Then there's just hanging out at home:
She likes to comb the bugs out of my hair. We have no idea where she got this!

Jill LOVES geography. Listen to her talk about Pete Pimo (her imaginary friend) and her geography knowledge.
