After that we paid a visit to Grammi and Pop in Olympia, (after stopping for apple fritters on the way, but there are no fritter pictures this time) and after Jill slept for the first two and a half hours we went down to the swings at the lake near their house and Jill had a great time.

On Monday we got to have dinner with the Moskals, meeting Mark and Owen for the first time. We went to Red Robin (Jannica's favorite) and then walked along the Des Moines waterfront. It was really cute to see how Jill and Owen are different (Jill shrieked and craved attention during the whole dinner whereas Owen was calm and quiet) and the same (Jannica and I both said, "No hitting," and "It's not uh oh if you throw it" within seconds of one another. It was also fun for Jill to be around a baby just about her same age (Owen is 5 weeks and 5 days older). He made her look small since he's so tall.

Finally, Steve took yesterday off work so we could become the newest members of the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. We chose this zoo over Woodland Park for several reasons. One, with Jill's naptime and traffic, it would be hard to get a good visit to Woodland Park without sitting through rush hour or missing out on her nap. Two, it's small enough that we can do the whole thing in one visit, even with Jill's short attention span. Three, parking is FREE (not really a big deal, but still a perk). Finally, four, since our family lives south, they can join us at this zoo much more easily than Woodland Park.

We had THE BEST time yesterday seeing the animals and eating ice cream. It was a nice leisurely afternoon and afterward Jill slept for 12.5 hours last night!!
